Overcoming stress means more than coping. Through training in meditation we develop the confidence that even if things don't go well out there, I will be ok inside. We will find in our own experience that in any situation the most important thing to control is our mind. Ultimately, it is our mind that determines whether we are happy or miserable.  

No previous meditation experience is needed.
